I am looking to buy a used boat. I dont want much, basically, I’m just looking to get in the water to do some fishing, and maybe some skiing. I know I want around 20 foot and I want a bowrider, but what sorts of things do I look for? Engine? Outdrive? The only thing I know about boats is that they float. Any advise on buying my first boat would be appreciated.

asked: A person on a bridge sights a boat at an angle of depression of 6 degrees. The bridge is 96 ft above the water. If the boat is traveling 440 ft. per minute, about how long will it take the boat to reach the bridge?

I’m planning on painting my old bass boat and I want to do it myself even if it’s just cheezy. I’m planning on doing my best in my garage. But I don’t know how to start, should I sand it down first buy primer and the paint or what? And at the end I want to use the clear protection like on cars; whats that called? And is i a good idea?

Since engines of boats use water to cool them and in this way they differ from car engines can anyone tell me why the exhaust keeps rupturing ? We put on a new tubing purchased from a boat dealer and within 5 minutes on the water with the boat in full throttle the exhaust ruptures a hole in it and gray smoke comes in the boat. Not sure of the category this should be in other than repairs.. thanks

Why dont they show who you are likely to run across after you buy their boat and hit the water? Ive been looking all over the place for those deserted beaches with nubile women frolicking
in the sun dappled water and dolphins cavorting around them.
NOOOOOOOOO Jake, please dont send the photo of you in a speedo. The
japanese whale fleet is still out hunting.

How do I make a boat for a middle school boat regatta? We can only use 1 roll of duct tape, as much Elmer’s glue as we want, and as much cardboard as we want. The boat has to be 8 feet long by 3 feet wide or smaller. The cardboard has to be pre used ( tv box, trampoline, exc.) please help us and hurry!

I am looking to buy a boat for use over the summer. It would have to be able to fit around 8 people for cruising up and down the thames enjoying a drink or two in the sun. What kind of boat would be the best for this kind of use? I am not looking to spend too much. I am willing to buy a run down boat and do it up. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I have a friend who has an old stern drive SeaRay that he just wants to give to me. The only problem is the engine needs work. Any tips on working on stern drive engines? And will a standard engine hoist be tall enough to pull the motor or will I need to find some way of getting a gantry hoist (really hard to do where the boat will be)?

What does dry boat storage entail? Can you get your boat in and out of storage on a regular basis, or is it only for storage over long periods of time?
