I know I want around 20 foot and I want a bowrider, but what sorts of things do I look for? Engine? Outdrive? The only thing I know about boats is that they float. Since engines of boats use water to cool them and in this way they differ from car engines can anyone tell me why the exhaust keeps rupturing ? We put on a new tubing purchased from a boat dealer and within 5 minutes on the water with the boat in full throttle the exhaust ruptures a hole in it and gray smoke comes in the boat. Not sure of the category this should be in other than repairs.. thanks

I have a friend who has an old stern drive SeaRay that he just wants to give to me. The only problem is the engine needs work. Any tips on working on stern drive engines? And will a standard engine hoist be tall enough to pull the motor or will I need to find some way of getting a gantry hoist (really hard to do where the boat will be)?
